Help Us Help Alameda!
We, at Alameda Family Services, are proud to be serving the Alameda community during the Covid-19 pandemic. Families in our community are dealing with physical, financial and emotional stress and our staff has been working hard to provide much needed support. When the Shelter in Place order started in March, Alameda Family Services immediately shifted to telehealth (videoconferencing) so that we could continue counseling and family support services uninterrupted. We also provided Activity Bags to over 600 families along with desperately needed diapers. Our warm lines have responded to endless requests for resources by sending out hundreds of grocery store gift cards, and tirelessly working to help people get signed up for food stamps, unemployment, and counseling.
Like many other non-profits, we have had to adjust our normal modes of fundraising and create online fundraising opportunities in order to maintain the health and safety of our employees as well as our volunteers and donors. Please consider taking part in our upcoming, exciting Chef’s Kitchen Series event and help us continue to help Alameda!! If you’re unable to participate in the fundraiser, maybe you can consider a donation to help support us during this health crisis.
